Sue Aydin

Aysun “Sue” Aydin grew up in Turkey and attended a maritime academy in Izmit, Turkey, where she specialized in marine electronics and communication. Upon graduation, she worked on board commercial ships before transitioning into the yachting industry, where she developed a love for sailing, windsurfing, and diving.

She sailed on board yachts, working her way up to Chief Stewardess, eventually switching gears to the deck department and becoming the Chief Officer onboard large commercial yachts.

Over the past 20 years, Aysun has made seven Atlantic crossings on sailing yachts and sailed throughout the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Black Sea, Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Caribbean, USA, and the Bahamas. 

She loves traveling, meeting new people, and learning about their cultures and cuisine. In her free time, Aysun enjoys diving, windsurfing, swimming, running, cycling, reading, hiking, and participating in sailing races as a crew member.  She is also pursuing a second degree in Computer Science and is excited about the possibility of combining her education and experience to support Dayboard’s yachts with exciting new technology.

Aysun comes to Dayboard Maritime as a Yacht Manager & CSO, with five years of previous management and CSO experience with a large yacht management and brokerage firm.
